Director Ivan Gergolet's debut film "Innocent Man" is an emotional drama captivating the viewer with a multi-layered psychological plot. Caretaker Angela is a widow whose husband, like other workers in the area, died of a mysterious asbestos related disease. When Angela accepts an offer to take care of a man responsible for the numerous deaths, a vengeful journey into the peripheries of grief, pain and ethical boundaries of the human begins.
Ivan Gergolet is an Italian film director. He graduated from the University of Bologna and is one of the founders of the media activist group Orfeo TV. Among other things, Gergolet has taught filmmaking in Trieste prison, focusing on film as a social weapon and tool for personal growth.
