An interview with Eeva Mägi, the director of "Mo Mamma", interviewer Andrei Liimets.
The loss of a loved one is one of the most profound heartaches a person can experience. Karin lost her mother, Mamma, but her daughter Mari does not understand her mother's emotions during this challenging time. They avoid each other because there are more feelings than they can bear, only to come back together again. Unconditional love, Mamma's legacy, and complex relationships are what ""Mo Mamma"" brings to the viewers.
Director Eeva Mägi, with her debut film, has aimed to share her own story from a time when she had to bid farewell to her grandmother due to a sad accident. The film came to life very quickly and organically. ""When we started filming, the script wasn't ready yet, but the idea of the story appealed to the actors,"" said Mägi in an interview with Andrei Liimets.
