Interview with Austeja Urbaite the director of “Remember to Blink”, Edvinas Pukšta
"With the kids there was a bit of distance and I think it's great." – Austėja Urbaitė
A powerful drama about the desire to change a child into someone he cannot be. A childless couple having completed the adoption process hires a language teacher to make it easier for their adopted child from another culture to settle in. But the pieces of the puzzle don not fit together: a powerful cat-and-mouse game between ethical and wrong ensues.
Austėja Urbaitė is a Lithuanian film director, best known for the short films "Bridges" (2015) and "The Accident" (2013). Before graduating as a film director from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, Urbaitė dreamed of a career as a theater director, but filmmaking won. Already her first experiments in the field of film reached well-known festivals such as Sarajevo, Behind the Curtain, Krakow, etc.
